Ouvea Island has no ring reef as Grande Terre ; fishing for pelagic fish are far only few miles from the shore of the island.
We may find few bonefish all along the beach west coast line of the island, but the fish are very shy and keep the bottom close. So bonefishing is mostly blind (blind casting) . Few permits may will be tempted by your fly. However Ouvea is definitely the best place where you get a chance to spot and hook one.
Other activities: Traditional and ancestral fisheries and visiting the Water Holes on the property of sir JPW.
